Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
